THE ESSENCE OF FACILITATION

This two-day workshop will powerfully enhance group managment skills in all settings eg: meetings, brainstorms and discussions.  Participants actively practice the best of the practical and more subtle aspects of facilitation.  This programme can be run in-house for 6 - 12 participants.

"I found that course I had last week is REALLY good and I’ve learned a lot. Thank you so much for providing this training opportunity for me!

Actually I’ve been to other similar training courses along my career development, e.g. Sales Training, Negotiation Skills Training. The skills they’ve taught in those courses are more on the outside and focus on the “What”. But the course I attended last week is more on the inside and focus on “Why” and “How”. They encourage self-discovery and self-disclosure. The facilitation process is about increasing competence and confidence. I found that I’m inspired to take actions which can improve my confidence and performance.

I’ve also realized that how communication can easily go wrong without essential messages. Before the course, I thought only me who needs to improve the skills. After the course, I realize that others are more or less the same. There are many reasons for ineffective communication. It could be the way how the message got framed or the way how the message got disseminated.

I’ve also got the opportunity to meet with colleagues from other specialized domains and it is amazing to find that people are so friendly to help each other in the course. Even it is just for two days (real work environment can be quite different), I’ve got a good memory from this course.

The other reason I like the course is the environment they’ve created. It is a non-threatening and friendly learning environment. The two tutors have played a key role to ensure that everyone is respected and people’s inputs are acknowledged without judgement.

In a nutshell, it is a really good course that I would recommend other colleagues to attend. What I’ve brought back to work are all positive things. " - Jing (2010)
